1. Audio & Video Recommendations:

a. Audio - Microphone, headset, and even earbuds work great when plugged right into your computer. A speaker phone or using your laptop’s microphone are no-nos. Please avoid using Bluetooth headsets. This will often reduce sound quality. In your Zoom settings, please uncheck the adjust volume box.

b. Video - Location doesn’t matter nearly as much as lighting! A few people walking around in the hallway behind is fine- so long as it’s not more interesting than our convo!

c. Lighting - Natural lighting is most desirable but if you are in a darker room, try putting a lamp by your laptop shining towards your face. Avoid having tons of lighting directly behind you.

d. Framing - Do your best to have your camera be at eye level, if you have a desk or a table, consider sitting at it to have a comfortable angle.

e. Connection- To have the best internet connection, please hardwire into your network ethernet, this will decrease lagging.

f. Silence Your Devices- Please remember to silence your devices, so that the sound does not disrupt the recording.
